How To Effectively Job Seek In A Recession

by Lance Haun on April 2, 2009

Those who have followed this blog for a while may remember that I blog for Vault.com in addition to the other projects I have going on. I don’t highlight my work there too much but I wanted to point you all to a four week series I just completed about how to do a job search (from beginning to end). This is certainly applicable right now because of the recession but it isn’t necessarily unique.

None of these are research paper deep but just a jumping off point to organize and get started. This is especially helpful if you haven’t been in the market for a while and need a jumping off point. These are also my most frequently asked questions so this will also hit some of those.

Thanks for bringing this over Lance…very timely indeed! RE: Phone creenings: I would suggest candidates tailor questions specific to who is making the call (ie. hiring manager vs. recruiter)

I’d like to welcome spring to the Pacific NW…for today at least.
